We Shall Over Come

We all have ugly phase in our lifetime, don't we? I had mine too. I've got ups and downs but nothing was like this one. It was so bad that the ugliest thought have come into my mind; "I want to end this pain."

I lost my value, I looked down to myself, I didn't feel good enough for the world, for others. I couldn't trust myself.

What is it about? I am pretty sure that you will think it is not even important if I will ever tell you what. But for me, it is.

I tried to tell what I was feeling to a FEW people, didn't tell them how much it hurt me though, thought it might reduce the pain. They, to whom I shared my anxiety, were very supportive. It calmed me down but couldn't heal me. However, thanks to them their kind words have given me the courage to believe in myself again.

It took some time for me to pull myself together. With the thought "if they do believe in me, why don't I?" I started to work my ass off. Work so hard that I will not have any reason to be disappointed to myself again. When the anxiety hit again, I could say that at least I have tried my best.

And it works.

I still am working on it but I can say it has been so much better.

--------------

We all have our own anxiety.

There's a kind of anxiety that we might defeat by endeavoring to be better like the one I just told you. If you're experiencing the same thing, please believe in yourself. You can do it!

But there's also anxiety that we don't know how to deal with it, right? If you're familiar with that feeling too; come closer, now sing it with me, "we shall overcome some day."
